French ocean carrier Duffy Line has announced a new port congestion surcharge (PCS) in South Africa as a result of continued congestion in the region's ports.
CMA CGM will implement a PCS of $200 per TEU for Port Elizabeth, Durban and Cape Town from 3 December.
The surcharge will apply to dry and reefer containers arriving at the three South African ports from all parts of the world (except East and West Africa).
In addition, for shipments from the United States and elsewhere, the surcharge will be effective from 6 December.
